Director Global Tax Operations role at GoDaddy entails leading the oversight, governance, and execution of the company’s global tax accounting and compliance processes. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with ASC 740 and US GAAP in the preparation and review of the global tax provision. The role includes managing global tax compliance including federal, state, and international income tax filings and estimated payments. Collaboration across tax, finance, accounting, and legal teams is essential to assess tax impacts of business operations and strategic initiatives. You will forecast the Annual Effective Tax Rate and global cash taxes to aid financial planning and analysis while coordinating with Treasury and FP&A for precise cash tax calculations. Maintaining strong relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities to stay updated with regulatory changes is vital. You will identify tax risks and opportunities to provide strategic recommendations for mitigation and optimization. The role demands ensuring adherence to internal controls and maintaining comprehensive documentation for tax activities. Support for M&A and divestiture activities through tax implication analysis and structuring is expected. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring and developing a high-performing team of tax professionals and ensuring timely local statutory tax reporting in coordination with external advisors. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA certification, and over 12 years of relevant multinational tax experience, with deep knowledge of ASC 740 and US GAAP tax accounting. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, with preferred experience in tax software and Workday ERP. Additional qualifications that may benefit include a master’s degree in taxation, Big 4 public accounting experience, industry-specific tax expertise, data analytics proficiency, and experience presenting to C-level executives and board members.
