As a Senior Software Development Engineer at GoDaddy, you will be responsible for developing client and server-side JavaScript platforms that enable key customer experiences. Your role includes writing high-quality code with unit and integration tests, participating in planning, architectural discussions, and maintenance of the applications, code reviews, and advocating for clean code standards. You will engage in DevOps, release, and on-call activities, collaborate with engineers and partners across GoDaddy, ensure the system’s high performance and quality, and mentor junior developers. Your technical expertise should include strong proficiency with React (both CSR and SSR), NodeJS, and API-driven design, particularly REST. You should have professional software development experience, deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), CSS3, HTML5, and foundational computer science concepts such as data structures and design patterns. Excellent communication and collaboration skills and knowledge of git workflows are essential. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), JavaScript tooling libraries (webpack), open-source contributions, high-performance design principles, and AWS platform development are advantageous.
