GoDaddy is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their Hosting experience team, focusing on delivering outstanding experiences for Website Designers and Developers. This role is primarily remote, based in the United Kingdom, with occasional visits to an office for team events or meetings. The key responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance frontend applications using modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React, and NodeJS. The engineer will lead frontend architecture to ensure seamless user experiences, work collaboratively with multi-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of learning and excellence. They will also stay current with emerging frontend technologies, participate in code reviews, and engage in DevOps, release, and on-call activities to support products. Candidates must have at least five years of professional frontend development experience, proficiency in React (CSR & SSR), NodeJS, modern JavaScript, API-driven design (REST), frontend build tools like Webpack, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes. A strong understanding of core web technologies such as CSS3 and HTML5, design patterns, and data structures is required. Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership skills, and experience with git workflows are also necessary. Additional desirable qualifications include exposure to cloud-oriented development using AWS or similar platforms, knowledge of high-performance design principles, experience with open-source projects, and familiarity with various JavaScript tooling.
