As a Software Engineering Manager AI ML at GoDaddy India, you will lead a team of 4 engineers focused on enhancing the Domain Search platform, a critical part of GoDaddy’s customer acquisition and revenue generation. This role involves hands-on leadership and collaboration with global teams including USI, DI, GDII, DnAI scientists, and FORGE, aiming to improve domain search experience, architecture, analytics, and integrated products across 42 global markets. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, overseeing the engineering pipeline and production support for machine learning and large language model projects such as GoValue, AutoComplete, Misspell Recommendations, and Merch API name generation models. You’ll drive ML engineering initiatives related to feature engineering, model serving, and AI reasoning. You will develop and implement strategic plans, select technologies and frameworks, build sprint backlogs and roadmaps in partnership with Product Managers, Program Managers, Architects, and leadership. The role requires championing engineering and operational excellence, focusing on automation, quality, and efficiency to produce exceptional services for internal customers. Collaboration with global partners to deliver high-quality code and solutions end-to-end and advancing domain search and advertising products is essential. Candidates should have more than 2 years’ experience as a people manager overseeing multiple teams, including product and engineering teams, with 7+ years building and shipping products at internet scale. Hands-on experience in large-scale data platforms, proficiency in Java, Python, Go, software design, microservices, and cloud computing is required. Familiarity with search technology, Agile development, and a relevant degree is preferred.
