We are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager with a passion for creating robust and scalable systems. In this role, you will directly shape the technical landscape of our domain registration and management systems, leading a team of exceptional developers. Your focus will be on ensuring the scalability, performance, and maintainability of one of the industry’s largest domain registrars, managing over 5 million domains. You will be responsible for defining and overseeing the architecture of systems supporting domain registrations and management, conducting regular code reviews to maintain code quality and standards, and staying updated on PHP and backend technologies to guide the team in adopting relevant tools. Additionally, you will provide mentorship, allocate tasks, conduct performance evaluations, and lead the hiring process. Collaboration with other leads and team managers is essential to ensure effective communication. You will also participate in planning, estimation, and timeline management while identifying areas for process optimization within backend development. Finally, you will lead the team in resolving technical challenges and act as a point of escalation for issues that arise.
