The UX Engineer team at GoDaddy is a critical link between UX design and code development, focusing on front-end and UX development. This position requires a solid foundation in UX/UI design, CSS3, HTML5, React, and JavaScript, with implementation across all modern browsers. The development teams handle backend integration, while the UX Engineer focuses on design system components and UI sides of dynamic web apps. Responsibilities include collaborating with UX designers, researchers, and engineers to create user-centered front-end solutions, refining prototypes and components using modern front-end technologies, and applying data-driven thinking to solve user problems effectively. The role involves early identification of potential roadblocks, participation in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, maintaining sprint objectives, and engaging promptly in code reviews and pull requests. Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience with HTML, CSS, React, and JavaScript, and 1-2 years in UX, design, or related technical environments, with familiarity with design tools like Figma or Sketch. Understanding design fundamentals and accessibility standards is critical, along with experience in Git/GitHub, unit testing, automation, and debugging front-end issues across environments. Knowledge of CSS transitions/animations and contributing to design systems or component libraries is important. Additional assets include familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, user-centered design principles, technical limitations impact on design decisions, good communication skills, and experience working in cross-functional teams.
