As an Android Software Engineer on GoDaddy’s Point of Sale team, you will develop and improve a suite of over 12 Android applications used by merchants worldwide to manage sales, inventory, transactions, and daily operations on dedicated POS devices. This hybrid role based in Pune requires you to write clean, maintainable, and testable code while following best practices and contributing to code reviews and team discussions. You will collaboratively work with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to build features enhancing the merchant experience. This role also involves debugging issues, improving app performance, stability, and responsiveness, and learning unique POS challenges such as offline support and device integrations. Required experience includes at least 2 years developing Android apps using Kotlin and/or Java, strong fundamentals of Android lifecycle and architecture components, familiarity with libraries like Jetpack, Coroutines, Room, Retrofit, experience working with RESTful APIs, Git version control, and collaborative workflows. Preferred skills include familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and analytics tools like Firebase and Crashlytics.
