Job Description

GoDaddy is seeking a Corporate Counsel – Employment to join its team, responsible for handling employment matters, assisting litigation, managing outside counsel, mentoring on employment risks, and supporting business growth. The role involves leading and supporting People Operations functions from pre-employment to post-employment, including internal investigations, employee relations, recruiting, training, performance management, discipline, payroll, benefits, leaves, accommodations, and immigration issues. The position also includes preparing EEOC responses, negotiating and drafting employment policies and agreements, designing training for managers and employees on employment practices and benefits, conducting internal investigations, and advising on global labor and employment laws such as wrongful termination, discrimination, disability accommodations, leaves of absence, compensation and benefits, and compliance with local laws. The role requires managing complex projects including pay and policy reviews and organizational changes. Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, bar membership, at least 7 years of legal experience in employment law, extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, clear communication skills, and business insight to prioritize risk-related projects. Preferred qualifications include bar licenses in Arizona, California, Texas, or Washington and experience with AI tools. Requirements
