As a Data Engineer at GoDaddy based in India, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics using technologies such as Spark, Airflow, and streaming platforms like Kafka or Kinesis. You will develop and support APIs, utilities, and microservices to enable data access for internal applications and machine learning products. Your role will involve writing reliable, production-ready code to transform and deliver data for both batch and real-time processing, building and managing data models, metrics, and feature stores to drive recommendations, personalization, and analytics. Ensuring data quality, observability, and lineage is crucial, and you will collaborate with multifunctional teams to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions. Requirements include 4+ years of experience building data-intensive distributed systems and production-grade pipelines in the cloud (AWS preferred), proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala with strong software engineering fundamentals, experience with Spark/EMR, Glue, Airflow, and streaming systems like Kafka or Kinesis, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with CI/CD automation, Docker/Kubernetes, and API development standards. Additional desirable skills include experience with search technologies such as Open Search or Elastic Search, familiarity with machine learning and AI pipelines including platforms like SageMaker or Databricks, and knowledge of data governance and quality frameworks. A BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) is expected.
