As a Principal AI Scientist at GoDaddy, you will be a key member of the Airo Growth and Innovation Applied ML team, dedicated to advancing AI and machine learning across core business units. Your primary focus will be on research and development in Agentic AI systems and Reinforcement Learning (RL), creating intelligent agents capable of autonomous decision-making, planning, and reasoning in complex environments. This exciting role involves pioneering integration of Large Language Models with RL to develop adaptive AI behaviors that enhance user experience across web platforms. You will design and implement advanced RL algorithms including policy optimization, hierarchical RL, and multi-agent RL systems, alongside building sophisticated simulation environments for testing agentic behavior and reward strategies. Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams, you will translate groundbreaking research into production-ready AI solutions that simplify shopping experiences for entrepreneurs globally. Mentorship is a key part of this role, as you will support the professional growth of junior scientists and engineers in RL and agentic AI best practices. Your expertise in machine learning, NLP, and software development with deep neural networks will drive innovation and practical applications of ML across major business units. Your responsibilities include managing large-scale experiments, leveraging distributed computing frameworks like Hadoop/Spark, and solving real-world problems with principled ML techniques. Preferred qualifications include a PhD in Machine Learning or AI with a focus on Reinforcement Learning, publications in premier AI/ML conferences, and experience with multi-agent systems and deploying ML models at scale.
