This new role within InfoSec aims to establish a single-threaded ownership for various WAF technologies at GoDaddy. The candidate will design and develop WAF policies and guidelines, maintain comprehensive rulesets, and onboard applications onto WAF platforms. Responsibilities include configuring, managing, and optimizing Akamai and CloudFlare WAF solutions to safeguard web applications from security threats; developing and maintaining documentation like runbooks and troubleshooting guides to support WAF operations and incident response; collaborating with cross-functional teams including IT, security, and development to ensure WAF configurations meet business and security needs; and establishing best practices and operational procedures for WAF. Candidates should bring 5-8 years of experience as a WAF Subject Matter Expert with proficient knowledge of Akamai and CloudFlare WAF solutions, a strong understanding of web application security principles and WAF configurations, and robust analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex WAF issues.
