GoDaddy is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to join their Product Security group, focusing on identifying security threats, providing remediation mentorship, and collaborating with SRE and development teams to reduce vulnerabilities. This role involves building repeatable security processes, conducting security assessments, and owning complex security events from start to finish. Candidates should have over 7 years of experience in security engineering, covering areas like Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network, Cloud, Mobile, and Web Security, along with skills in Secure Development Lifecycle, Threat Modeling, Penetration Testing, and scripting languages such as Python and Java. Responsibilities include scoping projects, reviewing security flaws, and using security best practices for compliance. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred, with advanced degrees and cloud or hardware security experience as a plus. Job requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive security engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Secure Development Lifecycle and Shift Left methodologies
  • Skilled in Threat Modeling, Penetration Testing, SAST, and DAST
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, PowerShell
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
