At GoDaddy, we’re seeking a Senior Security Engineer with 7+ years of experience across multiple security domains including Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network Security, Cloud Security, Mobile Security, and Web Security. This role involves identifying security threats in applications and infrastructure, conducting thorough security assessments, mentoring system owners on remediation, and collaborating with SRE and development teams to reduce vulnerabilities. The engineer will review quality issues, detect security flaws, build reusable security frameworks, prioritize projects, and own the resolution and retesting of complex security events and risks. Experience with Secure Development Lifecycle, Shift Left Security by Design, SAST, DAST, SCA tools, penetration testing, threat modeling, architecture reviews, secure code review, and scripting (Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, PowerShell) is essential. The candidate should be a problem solver with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multifunctional teams. Security certifications from SANS or similar are a plus. This is a fully remote position based in Texas, excluding certain states.
