Join GoDaddy as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Pune, Maharashtra, India, working remotely to help orchestrate and configure hosting products such as Managed WooCommerce Stores, Managed WordPress, and Pagely. You will be part of a small, dedicated Control Plane horizontal team focused on developing a groundbreaking multi-tenant WordPress hosting platform. The role involves designing and building key components of a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) for running WordPress in a containerized, auto-scaling environment. Collaborate with engineers, SREs, product managers, and architects across multiple teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies and work with remote colleagues worldwide. Projects include building tooling to migrate 1 million applications, unifying workflows on AWS step functions, improving platform provisioning time, stability, and scalability. Required experience includes 7+ years in software engineering focusing on large-scale distributed applications, proficiency in Go and PHP, 5+ years of cloud computing (preferably AWS), experience with Docker, CDK, CI/CD technologies like GitHub Actions and Jenkins, strong testing skills, and familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases. Additional advantageous experience includes container orchestration platforms like Nomad or Kubernetes, WordPress, AWS services such as S3, API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, and agile team experience.
