GoDaddy’s Global Compute team is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to build and support next-generation cloud infrastructure. This role involves building and maintaining a globally distributed, large-scale private cloud infrastructure that powers websites and applications worldwide. Key responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams to deliver cost-effective, robust private cloud infrastructures, participating in SRE/DevOps releases and on-call activities, developing and maintaining deployment automation with Puppet and Ansible, and creating infrastructure tools using Python. The engineer will contribute to open-source projects such as Puppet, Ansible, OpenStack, Qemu, or libvirt and troubleshoot code and infrastructure problems. Candidates should have proficiency in Linux, experience with deployment automation tools, programming skills (Python preferred), and an interest in complex distributed networking, system tuning, monitoring, and security. Additional advantages include experience with virtualization technologies like OpenStack and KVM, cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, Agile development, and disaster recovery.
