Within group.one’s Intelligent Experience team, the AI Engineer role involves transforming Proof of Concepts into scalable and secure production software with a focus on stability and performance. Responsibilities include translating stakeholder needs into actionable software requirements, designing and building enterprise-grade PHP and Python microservices and AI applications, and professionalising PoCs by implementing testing, observability, logging, monitoring, and CI/CD practices. The engineer will engage with modern AI techniques such as RAG systems, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning, collaborating closely with AI Process Developers to connect AI-driven systems to software solutions. Ensuring code quality and security through best practices and software patterns is essential, alongside contributing to technical decisions, architecture, and roadmap development. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers and staying current with AI landscape developments by experimenting with new frameworks and tools. Candidates should have at least 5 years experience in PHP and/or Python software engineering, with skills in microservices, modern architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, and preferably MLOps principles. Familiarity or interest in frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Neuron AI, Symfony, or FastAPI is a plus. Fluency in Dutch (required) and English is necessary.
