Absolute Hosting, a web hosting company from South Africa, has announced the acquisition of ZA Domains, a company that specializes in registering .za domain names for websites in South Africa. ZA Domains has been providing these services for over 11 years, helping people and businesses get their domain names registered and managed. This acquisition will allow Absolute Hosting to offer better services and prices to both domain resellers and hosting resellers.

The acquisition by Absolute Hosting brings some positive changes for ZA Domains customers. One of the key benefits is lower prices. The cost of registering .za domains has been reduced from R80.50 to R78.00, including VAT. This price drop is especially significant as many other providers have recently increased their prices, making Absolute Hosting’s offering more competitive.

Additionally, Absolute Hosting has introduced a new, user-friendly control panel. This makes it easier for customers to manage their domains. The control panel is accessible through the ZA Domains website, with options for personal API integration or the use of a free WHMCS module. These updates aim to enhance the overall experience for domain resellers and hosting clients.

For accredited registrars

All domain names registered with ZA Domains will be automatically transferred to Absolute Hosting’s system. Customers don’t need to take any action, and all information will remain the same in the WHOIS database.

ZA Domains is accredited by ZARC, the South African domain regulator. Absolute Hosting will continue to provide white-label solutions for ZARC-accredited registrars. They are offering a chance for these registrars to move their services to Absolute Hosting without any integration fees if they make the switch by January 2025.
