This position is remote within the United States, excluding specific states such as California, Seattle, NYC, Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands. The manager will lead a team delivering critical AI platform capabilities, mentor engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to define and execute strategic initiatives. The role emphasizes platform reliability, scalability, and developer experience, along with championing best engineering practices such as CI/CD, observability, and secure software development. The team supports over 100 large language models from various vendors and ensures a 99.99% uptime for thousands of internal users. Candidates should have 6+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in management or tech lead roles, experience in backend/platform services, cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and hands-on skills in Python, Go, or Node.js. Additional desirable skills include AI/ML infrastructure experience, Kubernetes, Docker, security & privacy frameworks, and developer platform experience.
