At GoDaddy, the Revenue Accounting Manager role involves working within the Order to Cash Revenue team, which collaborates across Finance, Accounting, and Technology departments. The core mission is to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant revenue recognition, supporting GoDaddy’s global financial operations and decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include contributing to month-end close activities such as preparing and reviewing journal entries, customer invoicing, account reconciliations, and detailed account analysis. You will perform data validation to support audit documentation and maintain and improve internal controls and SOX documentation, ensuring compliance and data integrity. A key focus will be identifying opportunities to reduce manual efforts by optimizing financial systems and documenting accounting processes, data flows, and reporting logic for cross-functional alignment. You’ll champion automation initiatives to streamline workflows and upskill the team, contributing to operational efficiency. Collaboration is an integral part of the role, involving partnership with teams in Treasury, Legal, Engineering, and Global Payments. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least 5 years of experience with global, publicly traded companies. Knowledge of ASC606 GAAP revenue recognition principles, ERP platforms (preferably Workday Financials), and data/reporting tools is essential, alongside familiarity with SOX compliance and controls testing. Advanced Excel skills and data analysis proficiency are expected, with CPA certification or progress towards it considered a plus. Experience supporting revenue recognition systems, complex billing platforms, and exposure to data visualization tools such as Quicksight or Power BI are advantageous. GoDaddy offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, retirement savings plans, bonus eligibility, equity grants, health benefits, and family-friendly policies. The company values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, fostering an inclusive culture that supports entrepreneurial spirit and personal initiative. This remote position requires occasional visits to GoDaddy offices in India for team events or meetings.
