GoDaddy is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead and innovate in information security within their Product Security Group. This role involves identifying security threats in applications and infrastructure, conducting thorough security assessments, and mentoring system/application owners on remediation. The engineer will independently improve security programs, collaborate with SRE and development teams to minimize vulnerabilities, review quality issues, and develop repeatable security processes and frameworks. Responsibilities include prioritizing projects, owning the resolution of complex security events, policy questions, and technical security risks. Candidates should have over 7 years of experience in diverse security engineering areas such as Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network Security, Cloud Security, Mobile Security, and Web Security. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages including Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell, and familiarity with Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices like Security by Design and Shift Left methodologies are required. Experience with security tools like SAST, DAST, SCA, penetration testing, secure code reviews, and threat modeling is essential. The role demands the ability to conduct architecture reviews and implement procedures compliant with security and privacy regulations, alongside strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills to foster cross-team collaboration and influence technical decisions. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and security certifications from SANS or similar organizations.
