The Senior Director Corporate Development at GoDaddy plays a pivotal leadership role reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Development. This role involves spearheading transaction teams comprising corporate development, functional, and business professionals to drive growth through strategic investments and acquisitions. The leader is responsible for identifying, negotiating, structuring, and driving strategic acquisitions and investments that enhance GoDaddy’s market position. Key responsibilities include cultivating strategic relationships with executives and business leaders to identify and accelerate investment and acquisition opportunities, leading all aspects of inorganic growth including financial modeling, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiations, and closing, as well as post-merger integration in partnership with the integration team. The role demands crafting and maintaining robust deal playbooks to ensure efficient sourcing and appraisal of acquisition opportunities. The incumbent will engage with senior leaders across business units and the strategy team to ensure alignment of investments with long-term operational goals and conducting portfolio assessments to optimize through divestitures and other corporate actions. The position allows for hybrid or fully remote work arrangements, excluding Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands. Candidates should have 15+ years of progressive transaction experience within public corporations, investment banks, or private equity with a track record of independently leading complex deals. Exceptional communication, project management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential. Educational qualifications preferably include a bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science, with a Masters degree or equivalent experience seen as an asset.
