At GoDaddy, the Commerce Reporting team powers the insights that hundreds of thousands of merchants rely on, managing all reporting capabilities from static reports to dynamic merchant dashboards across Commerce Home, Mobile, and Terminal experiences. The Senior Manager will lead a six-engineer team to build a next-generation reporting platform from the ground up, modernizing data warehousing infrastructure, service layers, and APIs. The role requires a balance of technical leadership (60%) and people and stakeholder management (40%), with responsibilities including architecture and development of data platforms, team growth and mentorship, driving technical decisions across full stack data pipelines, and collaborating closely with product and infrastructure teams. Candidates should have over 5 years’ management experience, expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript backend development, proven design and build experience in data warehousing, pipelines, APIs, and AWS infrastructure, alongside knowledge of PostgreSQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and OLAP databases. Additional valued experience includes event-driven architectures, Kafka, React, fintech or commerce domains, and greenfield platform development. GoDaddy offers competitive benefits including paid time off, retirement savings, equity grants, health benefits, and a culture embracing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The role is fully remote with occasional office visits.
