GoDaddy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on automating and maintaining our storage infrastructure with a focus on Ceph, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. Responsibilities include automating and maintaining storage systems to support application demands, developing and maintaining tools and automation scripts to streamline storage operations and improve efficiency, monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and implementing solutions to ensure high availability and reliability, participating in agile concepts such as daily stand-up meetings, task tracking boards, design and code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment, and continuously improving system reliability, performance, and capacity through proactive monitoring, automation, and optimization. Candidates should have 2+ years of professional experience with Ceph in a production environment, experience in site reliability engineering or a similar role, skill in deployment, configuration, and management of Ceph clusters and systems, proficiency in Python or Bash, experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or SaltStack, monitoring tools such as Icinga2, and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir, and Loki. A solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and core networking concepts is essential. Additional beneficial experience includes containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, exposure to compute platforms like OpenStack and AWS, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows. The role is remote with occasional office visits possible.
