As the Product AI Engineering Lead at Hostinger, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the intelligence behind our next-generation products and in growing the people who build them. You will lead and mentor a talented team of AI engineers through regular 1:1s, coaching, and growth planning, ensuring both technical excellence and professional development. Your responsibilities include guiding the team in building agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and other advanced AI capabilities that transform how millions of users experience the web. You will balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic direction, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to bring ideas from concept to impactful, production-ready features. Daily tasks involve leading and mentoring AI engineers, identifying growth opportunities, overseeing delivery of AI-powered features from prototype to production, contributing actively to AI system design and implementation, collaborating across teams, establishing best practices in prompt engineering and AI system reliability, staying current with emerging AI technologies, fostering a culture of experimentation and evidence-driven decisions, improving AI engineering processes, and participating in hiring and onboarding to build a strong AI engineering culture. The role requires proven experience leading AI or ML engineers, strong expertise in Python and modern LLM/AI frameworks such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, LangChain, experience in designing and building agentic AI systems and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, solid understanding of AI system design including model evaluation, fine-tuning, inference optimization, experience building and deploying production-grade APIs with technologies like FastAPI and Flask, containerized systems using Docker and Kubernetes, excellent collaboration and communication skills, familiarity with DevOps practices like CI/CD, monitoring, version control, and the ability to balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities. A curious, research-driven mindset motivated to push applied AI boundaries within real products is essential.
