As a Python Developer at SiteGround, your primary responsibility is to develop innovative AI-powered products while working remotely from Macedonia. Joining a team of AI engineers and developers, you will design, build, and maintain robust and scalable AI solutions that directly impact internal systems and client products. SiteGround is adopting an AI-first approach, integrating AI technologies deeply into its business strategy. Your role includes backend development, particularly with Python and FastAPI, while also contributing to front-end and exploratory projects involving other programming languages and emerging AI tools.nnYour main tasks involve designing and developing services using Python and FastAPI, building APIs for internal tools and customer applications, collaborating closely with AI engineers to implement and optimize AI functionality, and writing clean, efficient, testable code. You will participate in code reviews, refine development workflows, rapidly prototype new features, experiment with new tools, and evaluate third-party libraries. You will also partner with platform engineers to deploy, monitor, and maintain AI services in production, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to service stability. Supporting internal AI adoption by developing workflow tools across departments is another key responsibility.nnThe role expects 5+ years of Python experience, strong software development principles, knowledge of FastAPI or similar frameworks, SQL and PostgreSQL familiarity, package management experience, and a passion for AI technologies including working with Large Language Models. Shell scripting, VM usage, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
