GoDaddy is seeking a Principal Security Engineer to join its Product Security group. The role involves identifying security threats in applications and infrastructure, mentoring system owners on remediation, collaborating with SRE and development teams to reduce vulnerabilities and build reusable security processes and frameworks. The engineer will review quality issues, detect security flaws, scope projects, and drive resolution of complex security events, policy questions, and technical risks. Applicants should have 7+ years of progressive security engineering experience in areas including Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network, Cloud, Mobile, and Web Security. Essential skills include Secure Development Lifecycle, Security by Design, Shift Left methodologies, Threat Modeling, Architecture Review, Penetration Testing, Code Review, SAST, and DAST. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, and PowerShell is required. Candidates with a Bachelors degree in computer science or related field are preferred, and advanced degrees or experience in hosting, cloud, or hardware security are advantageous. The role is remote from Florida, except certain states are excluded, and requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
