We’re seeking a Release Engineer to join our team!

What You’Ll Do:

• Understand Backblaze products and its software stack.
• Own the software release process from development to production. Automate these processes to move code safely, reliably and repeatedly.
• Create and maintain releases and define triggers for CI/CD pipelines.
• Leverage AI to identify gaps, enhance these workflows and accelerate deployments.
• Understand test environments, staging workflows and automated testing to be able to coordinate releases with QA.
• Track issues and risks during releases. Spot patterns and work towards mitigating those.
• Record and document release processes and their updates.
• Understand change control processes and work within the Compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO etc). Create and maintain releases notes.
• Contribute to continual software development process improvement efforts.
