This position is key to driving customers’ self-service using our AI customer-facing tools in the current Knowledge Base. You will play a vital role in enhancing customer and internal team understanding by creating clear, concise, and engaging video tutorials and walkthroughs, updating existing knowledge base content, and creating new knowledge base content focused on the Bluehost and HostGator brands.
- Technical Video Production: Knowledge in end-to-end production, including experience with screen-recording software like Camtasia or PowToons is often essential for software-based tutorials.
- Video Editing: Knowledge industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Experience with motion graphics (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is highly preferred to create callouts, text overlays, and engaging animations.
- Design & Scripting: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, step-by-step instructions, strong hooks, clear steps, and recap moments.
- Digital Content Management: Familiarity with hosting platforms like YouTube and Vimeo. Knowledge of SEO best practices to ensure tutorials are discoverable plus.
- Project Management & Collaboration: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Candidates must collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure technical accuracy.
- Document product functionality, troubleshooting, and best practices through research, cross-functional teamwork, and hands-on product testing.
- Explain, often complicated, instructions in a way that is simple and easy to understand for both customers and our support teams.
- Provide instructions for highly technical processes and procedures in a jargon-free manner, using terminology and language that all can easily understand.
- Leverage targeted SEO best practices to elevate our content and increase brand exposure.
- Liaise with stakeholders and subject matter experts to stay updated on the latest products and features.
- Identify ways to create and improve content to drive self-service and reduce customer contacts.
- Create internal and external content for both human and AI consumption.
- Analyze customer feedback, website statistics, and other data to determine which resources are needed.
- Develop a content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term business targets.
- Stay current with technologies and products used and offered.
- Monitor customers’ feedback, product goals, and pain points to improve content continually.
- Be a change agent! One that is constantly pushing and looking for improvement.
