As a Corporate Counsel – Litigation at GoDaddy, you will play a critical role in managing and executing litigation strategies across India and other countries. This position entails overseeing a diverse docket of disputes, advising on evolving litigation risks related to business decisions and strategic initiatives, and managing external counsel effectively within budget and policy guidelines. The role reports to the Sr. Director, Sr. Counsel – Litigation and involves significant responsibility in driving risk-mitigation projects to reduce litigation spend, managing day-to-day litigation strategies, and delivering legal advice that supports business objectives. Candidates must have an LL.B. and 5+ years of litigation experience, including experience with Indian courts, drafting legal pleadings, and oral advocacy. Expertise in technology-related litigation, especially in internet, domain registrar, and web hosting industries, is essential. The role requires strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with a collaborative approach to influence cross-functional teams. Familiarity or eagerness to use AI for efficiency is also valued. Preferred qualifications include an LL.M., experience in fast-paced multinational technology companies, and a proactive approach to risk management and legal problem-solving.
