This newly created leadership role at GoDaddy entails oversight, governance, and execution of global tax accounting and compliance, including the integrity of tax-related financial reporting and leadership of the global tax provision process. The Director will be responsible for overseeing internal controls, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions, preparation and review of the global tax provision under ASC 740, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and managing all aspects of global tax compliance including federal, state, and international filings and payments. This role requires collaboration with tax, finance, accounting, and legal teams to evaluate tax impacts of business operations and initiatives, forecasting of Annual Effective Tax Rate and global cash taxes to support financial planning and analysis, and coordination with Treasury and FP&A for cash tax calculations. The incumbent will maintain relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities to keep abreast of regulatory changes and identify tax risks and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations. Responsibilities also include ensuring adherence to internal controls, supporting M&A and divestiture activities with tax analysis and structuring, leading and mentoring a high-performing tax team, and ensuring timely local statutory tax reporting and filings in cooperation with external advisors. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting with CPA certification, over 12 years of relevant multinational tax experience including provision and compliance, deep knowledge of ASC 740 and US GAAP tax accounting, strong analytical and communication skills, and preferred experience with tax software and Workday ERP. Additional desirable qualifications include a master’s degree in taxation, Big 4 public accounting experience, industry-specific tax expertise, proficiency in data analytics and visualization, and experience presenting to C-level executives and board members. The role offers a dynamic workplace culture with diverse work arrangements—hybrid or fully remote as decided by the manager—alongside competitive benefits such as paid time off, retirement savings plans, bonus eligibility, equity grants, stock purchase plans, comprehensive health benefits, and family-friendly policies including parental leave. GoDaddy fosters an inclusive environment supporting diverse identities and experiences, emphasizing equity and belonging across employee and customer experiences.
