Job description

See job offer description.

As a Specialist in Domain Services at GoDaddy, you will serve as the technical liaison between the Client Services and engineering teams, focusing on domain and system issue investigation and resolution. Your responsibilities will include investigating client-reported problems with a strong emphasis on DNS expertise, conducting root cause analysis, and determining whether issues are bugs, systemic, or isolated. You will coordinate cross-functional efforts to fix issues promptly and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to implement systemic improvements that prevent recurrence. Your role also involves translating complex technical platform and DNS information into clear explanations for Client Services and other stakeholders, maintaining communication throughout the lifecycle of an issue, and documenting thoroughly for future prevention. The work environment is remote, primarily located in Nova Scotia or Ontario, with occasional visits to GoDaddy offices for team events or meetings. This position is not available for Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands residents. Candidates are expected to have at least 4 years of experience in the domain name industry, preferably in technical backend operations and internal support roles at registrars, registries, or DNS providers. Essential skills include strong DNS and database knowledge, hands-on experience with registry-registrar operations including EPP and ccTLD configurations, and proficiency with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Experience in root cause analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and an ability to work within Agile/Scrum environments is critical. Additional desirable experience includes wholesale/reseller platform knowledge, familiarity with reseller APIs, multi-vendor environments, and SQL for data analysis. GoDaddy offers a comprehensive range of benefits such as paid time off, retirement savings plans, bonus eligibility, equity grants, stock purchase options, competitive health benefits, and family-friendly policies including parental leave. The company values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, integrating these principles into its core operations to empower entrepreneurs globally. GoDaddy is an equal opportunity employer and supports applicants with criminal histories in compliance with local and federal laws. Assistance with applications is available via email, and unsolicited resumes from recruiters are not accepted.
