GoDaddy is seeking a Senior Ceph Storage Engineer to join their Global Storage Engineering team with a strong focus on Ceph technologies. This remote role involves engineering and deploying advanced storage technologies to support object, block, and file workloads for internal applications and private cloud infrastructure. The engineer will architect and build Ceph clusters from the ground up, ensuring robust and scalable storage solutions that align with organizational needs. Responsibilities include managing a large-scale Linux environment, optimizing performance, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver assets with high quality. Candidates should have over 4 years of professional Ceph experience including deployment, configuration, tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, integration, upgrades, and maintenance. Experience with Ceph Reef and Python scripting for automation is required, alongside familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their storage services. Additional skills that may be beneficial include knowledge of other distributed storage systems such as GlusterFS and HDFS, and containerization/orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
