The Senior Conversation Designer will build and optimize conversational AI experiences across various channels, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals. This role involves leading projects from user research through conversation flow mapping, prompt crafting, and performance optimization. The designer will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement AI solutions and conduct A/B testing to continuously improve user experience. Responsibilities include maintaining conversation build systems like style guides and prompt libraries, analyzing transcripts and feedback to identify improvements, and mentoring team members on best practices. The role supports localization and accessibility to create inclusive experiences for a global audience. Candidates should have 3+ years in conversation building with at least 2 years working with large language models (LLMs), 5+ years in conversation design or prompt engineering, and a strong understanding of conversational AI technologies including NLU, dialogue management, LLMs, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems. A portfolio demonstrating successful projects is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with enterprise-scale AI deployments, familiarity with AI safety principles, and backgrounds in linguistics or cognitive science.
