The Senior Manager – Business Development at GoDaddy is a strategic role focused on sales and account management activities for the Brand Safety Alliance (BSA), a GoDaddy Registry initiative aimed at helping brands protect themselves online through innovative products and services like GlobalBlock. This role is remote-based in Ontario or Nova Scotia, Canada, with occasional visits to GoDaddy offices. The position is part of a team including a Director and five direct reports and is an individual contributor role managing all external registry relationships and contracts. The successful candidate will identify new growth opportunities primarily by acquiring resellers, agents, and registry partners essential to the success of BSA products. The role requires managing and nurturing new sales channels once established. Key responsibilities include identifying and managing traditional and non-traditional sales channels in the domain industry, conducting customer prospecting, creating strategic plans, and meeting or exceeding sales targets. The manager will build and maintain key partner and client relationships, offer expert product knowledge, provide second-level support, and implement account planning, performance management, and tailored training programs. Additionally, the role contributes to product development and market expansion by using customer feedback and market analysis to identify new features and partnership opportunities. The manager leads contractual agreements, negotiations, CRM data integrity, sales collateral development, and mentoring of Account Management team members. A deep knowledge of the domain name industry is crucial for identifying revenue opportunities, supporting strategic decisions, and contributing to marketing and PR initiatives to enhance brand recognition. Support for ICANN new TLD rounds and continuous discovery of new sales surfaces are also essential. Requirements include 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or product management within the domain industry with existing extensive relationships. The candidate must be able to work flexibly across time zones and travel as needed to industry events like ICANN and INTA meetings. Fluency in additional languages beyond English is helpful but not essential. GoDaddy offers various employee benefits including paid time off, retirement savings plans, incentive bonuses, equity grants, stock purchase plans, competitive health benefits, parental leave, and fosters a diverse and inclusive work culture. The company is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, reflecting these principles across employee, customer, and operational experiences. GoDaddy is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants with criminal histories in compliance with regulations. Support is available for applicants during the recruitment process.
