The Senior Manager – Business Development role at GoDaddy is a strategic individual contributor position focused on building and managing sales channels for the Brand Safety Alliance initiative, which helps brands protect themselves online through innovative products like GlobalBlock. The candidate will identify new growth opportunities by acquiring resellers, agents, and registry partners critical to the success of GoDaddy products. Responsibilities include prospecting customers, developing strategic plans, managing accounts, and conducting outreach to meet sales targets. The role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with key partners and clients, providing expert product knowledge, second-level support, and tailored training programs. The successful candidate will also contribute to new product development by utilizing customer feedback and market insights to identify new features and partnership opportunities. Contract management, negotiations, CRM data integrity, sales collateral development, and mentoring to the Account Management team are part of the role. Knowledge of the domain name industry is essential for identifying revenue opportunities, decision-making, and supporting marketing, PR, and sales initiatives. The position supports ICANN new TLD rounds and seeks to continuously discover new sales avenues while strengthening existing channels. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in sales, account or product management within the domain name industry with existing extensive relationships. The role demands flexibility to accommodate different time zones and occasional out-of-business-hours work. Travel for industry conferences like ICANN and INTA is also required. GoDaddy offers a remote work environment based in Ontario or Nova Scotia, Canada, with occasional office visits for team meetings.
