GoDaddy is seeking a Senior Software Data Engineer to join their team in Pune, Maharashtra. The role focuses on creating a next-generation Data Integration Platform that serves as a bridge between eCommerce systems and GoDaddy’s Data Platform. This microservices-based platform is deployed on AWS and built to be secure, highly available, fault-tolerant, and globally efficient. The position also includes maintaining and supporting an on-prem legacy stack built with Microsoft technologies, requiring experience with a variety of database technologies including AWS relational and non-relational databases and Microsoft SQL Server. Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust data pipelines; developing and optimizing data models to support business processes; ensuring data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation; implementing data storage solutions using AWS and Microsoft SQL Server; integrating complex datasets using REST APIs and other ingestion techniques; and collaborating with multi-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions. The role also offers opportunities to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers. Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role, expertise in Microsoft technologies and programming languages like C# and Python, strong knowledge of AWS cloud services especially data-related offerings, proficiency in REST API development and integration, and familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and other AWS databases. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields, proficiency in tools for handling large datasets, familiarity with data visualization tools, and relevant Microsoft and AWS certifications.
