Full-Stack Developer Working Student for Paid Products team (hybrid)

About the team:

Paid Products Applications development Romania is part of the Mail and Media development department of IONOS. Our team brings together backend and frontend engineers to build products that make hosting accessible and affordable for everyday users. On the backend, we work with Java and Spring Boot; on the frontend, our projects use React and Stencil.

Our main focus is domain sales and the ecosystem around it – SSL certificates, web hosting, and website builders – alongside projects close to the company’s roots: free and premium email services.

About the Working Student program:

This program is intended for students (currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program) who want to gain experience, following what they learned in a specialized faculty, in order to become IT specialists.

Main responsibilities:

• Learn about the company’s products and projects
• Implement new features and bug fixes according to the products’ roadmap
• Collaborate with the colleagues in the development team, as well as with colleagues from the QA, infrastructure, operations and product management
• Assist other developers throughout the entire development process

We appreciate:

• Currently studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• An analytical and detail-oriented mindset
• Advanced level in English (both written and spoken)
• Highly motivated, self-driven and interested in Software Engineering
• Good communication skills and a great team player

Would be a plus:

• Previous experience in software development
• Knowledge of Java / Spring / Web Services and Javascript / React
• Willingness to work full stack (Java, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes)
