Job Description

As a Technical Support Operator at KnownHost, you will serve as the frontline for exceptional customer experience on our 24/7 helpdesk, primarily handling customer support via email with occasional live chat and phone support. Your role includes troubleshooting email delivery, cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, DNS, FTP, SSL, Apache, and other web hosting service-related issues, ensuring customer satisfaction every day. You must have a strong customer focus and be ready to do whatever it takes to resolve issues and exceed expectations. Responsibilities include handling day-shift support (CST), multi-tasking across multiple brands, and interpreting incomplete error messages to assist customers effectively. Requirements include excellent written English, familiarity with Linux shell (bash), Apache, PHP, MySQL, email protocols (POP3/IMAP/SMTP), FTP, DNS, and standard web hosting applications and protocols. Knowledge of cPanel/WHM, Plesk, or DirectAdmin control panels is mandatory. Additional skills in PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, iptables firewalls (CSF, APF), and common web apps like Drupal, WordPress, MediaWiki, Magento, and ZenCart are a bonus. You should be able to work well under pressure and maintain efficiency in a dynamic environment.
