Automation Engineer III (Python and Ansible)

Job Profile Summary

An Automation Engineer III is responsible for designing, developing, and standardizing infrastructure automation solutions with a strong focus onVMware-based environments. This role will drive automation maturity by building reusable, scalable automation assets usingAnsible and Python, enabling faster and reliable infrastructure provisioning and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and standardizeautomation frameworks and reusable assets using Ansible & Python
• Build automation solutions forVMware infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management
• Define best practices forInfrastructure as Code (IaC)and configuration management
• Automatedeployment, remediation, and operational tasksacross infrastructure environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud, network, storage) to deliver end-to-end automation solutions

Core Technical Skills (Must Have)

• Strong experience withAnsible (playbooks, roles, collections, AWX/Automation Controller)
• Proficiency inPython scripting and automation development
• Solid understanding ofInfrastructure as Code (IaC)principles
• Experience withLinux/Unix system administration
• Familiarity withAI-assisted development tools(e.g., GitHub Copilot, coding agents) to improve productivity and code quality
