Network Security Engineer IV – USA

Role Overview:Rackspace is seeking a Network Security Engineer IV. In this role you’ll be a key element within the Rackspace support infrastructure team. You’ll provide a high level of technical support to our customers. Technical issues can include troubleshooting customer network environments including firewall configurations, VPN technologies and access-control lists, VIP configurations, TCL (iRule) and Perl scripts, layer 4 thru 7 issues. You’ll also support many elements of the Rackspace Cloud product portfolio, including RackConnect.

Location/Hours:

· If located near a Rackspace office, you’ll work a hybrid schedule… 2 days in the office and three days remote.

· If not located near an office, you may work 100% remotely.

· 2nd Shift, Mon-Fri, 2pm to 11pm

Key Responsibilities:

· Be the technical point of escalation to the Cloud Support and Engineering teams; resolving customer issues.

· Monitor and provide maintenance for all related infrastructure.

· Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of the cloud environment.

· Implements large, complex enterprise-class solutions.

· Lead tasks relating to system architecture enhancements, problem management, fleet.

· Lead Workload/Workforce Management and Optimization related tasks.

· Provide technical expertise underpinning communications targeting a range of stakeholders – from individual contributors to leaders across the business.

· Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Development Consultants to build strong customer relationships.

· Share knowledge with other Engineers and Administrators on the support floor.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The compensation range for this position ranges from $99,704.00/year in our lowest geographic market up to 146,270.30 USD/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
