As a Software Developer at WHC, you’ll play a key role in building, improving, and expanding our internal and external platforms to help small businesses thrive online. While your primary focus will be backend development, this role also includes occasional frontend work using JavaScript and jQuery to support end-to-end feature delivery. Responsibilities include building new features and improvements for WHC’s management platform (ERP), enhancing client-facing web platforms, troubleshooting and resolving bugs in production environments, building APIs using Laravel, improving Managed WordPress hosting applications including custom plugin development, leveraging AI and Machine Learning to benefit clients, and collaborating across teams to deliver seamless full-stack solutions when needed. Candidates should have 4+ years of PHP web development experience, 2+ years working with JavaScript and jQuery, 4+ years with MySQL and complex SQL querying, experience with Git version control, knowledge of Bash scripting and command-line server management is a plus, a completed 3-year university degree in Computer Science or related field, good English communication skills, and must pass a security background check.
