The partnership between Monarx and HostGator LATAM has been expanding the layer of protection offered to the company’s customers across Latin America. Gator Protect currently reaches more than 600,000 customers in the region, while more than 28 billion files remain under continuous monitoring across HostGator LATAM’s infrastructure.

In Brazil, between March and the end of August 2026, Monarx technology carried out more than 51 million proactive security actions, including terminating malicious processes, quarantining files, and cleaning compromised content.

The volume helps demonstrate how automated protection operates continuously across the infrastructure, identifying and responding to potentially malicious behavior before it develops into higher-impact incidents.

Key Figures

  • More than 51 million proactive security actions were carried out in Brazil between March and August 2026.
  • More than 28 billion files under continuous monitoring across HostGator LATAM’s infrastructure.
  • More than 600,000 customers are covered by Gator Protect across Latin America.
  • More than 6,000 customers currently have Gator Protect Pro coverage, including both standalone subscriptions and plans that already include the solution.
  • HostGator recorded a 31% reduction in malware-related support tickets between the periods analyzed.
Action Performed Count Share
Malware processes terminated 37 million 72%
Malicious files quarantined 9.9 million 19%
Compromised files or files containing malicious code cleaned 4.5 million 9%

Protection That Acts While Threats Are Running

One of the most relevant aspects of the data is the predominance of interventions carried out while potentially malicious processes were running.

Of the 51.4 million recorded actions, approximately 37 million involved the termination of malware processes. Runtime intervention complements traditional file identification, quarantine, and cleanup mechanisms and enables a faster response to suspicious activity within monitored environments.

This model is aligned with the strategy Monarx has adopted for large-scale hosting environments. By continuously analyzing a high volume of signals, artificial intelligence applied to security can identify behaviors and attack patterns and act automatically according to the protection policies in place.

Luke Langford, CEO of Monarx, noted in an interview with Brazilian publication TI Inside that protecting hosting environments at scale requires monitoring a high volume of signals simultaneously, without relying exclusively on customers to recognize that something is wrong. According to Langford, the scale of HostGator’s operations also helps Monarx identify attack patterns more quickly and further automate its response to threats.

The volume of actions should be understood within this context: it represents security interventions carried out by the platform over a six-month period, rather than an equivalent number of websites, customers, or individual incidents.

Different Levels of Protection for Different Needs

Gator Protect was designed to strengthen security across HostGator’s customer base through different levels of protection.

The coverage available to more than 600,000 customers includes continuous monitoring and threat detection. It is active without any configuration, without requiring a plugin to be installed, and without customers needing security expertise, which is especially important for those creating their first website. When an occurrence is detected, customers receive information that allows them to understand the situation and take the necessary steps.

Gator Protect Pro adds another layer of automation to the experience by also automatically removing detected threats.

More than 6,000 customers currently have Gator Protect Pro coverage, including both users who purchased the solution separately and customers whose plans already include the protection.

For Ricardo Melo, VP of Growth and Product at HostGator LATAM, the strategy is directly connected to the evolution of the customer experience.

“Our goal is to make security part of the hosting experience itself, rather than something customers only have to think about after an incident. It is the same logic we apply across the rest of our portfolio: artificial intelligence works in the background, and the customer simply experiences the result.”

Since its launch on April 9, Gator Protect Pro has also been extended to VPS customers, expanding the availability of automated protection across different user profiles and types of projects.

Reduction in Malware-Related Support Requests

In addition to the actions carried out directly across the infrastructure, HostGator also monitors the impact of the initiative on its support operations.

Across the periods analyzed by the company, there was a 31% reduction in malware-related support tickets between the first three-month period reviewed and the most recent one. This trend follows the 30% reduction in demand for human support recorded with the company’s artificial intelligence agent in 2025.

The reduction has occurred alongside the expansion of the company’s monitoring, detection, and automated response initiatives, reinforcing its strategy of taking an increasingly proactive approach to security.

By combining continuous monitoring technology with automation and specialized support, HostGator aims to reduce the impact that security incidents can have on its customers and their digital operations.

Expanding Automated Protection

The next step in the strategy is to expand adoption of Gator Protect Pro.

HostGator has set a goal of reaching 40,000 customers with Gator Protect Pro during 2027, while maintaining baseline coverage across the entire eligible customer base.

This growth represents a significant expansion of automated protection and aligns with HostGator’s broader strategy of embedding artificial intelligence, automation, and security directly into the product experience.

In an environment where websites and applications face increasingly automated threats, the goal is to enable the infrastructure itself to continuously identify and respond to a meaningful portion of these occurrences.

The figures presented are based on operational information provided by Monarx and HostGator LATAM regarding Gator Protect operations and the infrastructure monitored through the partnership.
