Join GoDaddy’s mission to empower entrepreneurs by building scalable backend platform capabilities that support product teams across the organization. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams to identify and design flexible platform capabilities that are reusable and scalable, driving a ‘One System’ mindset to reduce silos and waste. You will serve as the technical Product Manager for backend platform features, working closely with Engineering Managers to build, launch, and promote adoption of these capabilities. Key responsibilities include developing a 3+ year roadmap for platform capabilities, including project plans, requirements, dependency maps, and cost models. You will guide engineering teams on adopting these platform components and report progress to leadership through written and in-person updates. Using experimentation and data analytics, you will drive continuous improvements in functionality, usability, performance, and cost-efficiency. The role requires a minimum of 7 years’ experience in software development focused on scalable platforms and backend systems, along with 3+ years of leadership experience in engineering, managing prioritization for software launches and optimizations. You will integrate customer feedback into system requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. Experience in defining technology visions, multi-year roadmaps, cross-team dependency management, and communicating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders is essential. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with PaaS/IaaS models, API design and developer experience, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, and demonstrated success in driving platform adoption through measurable metrics and KPIs. Advanced degrees such as an MBA or Computer Science master’s are a plus.
