Job Description

What You’ll Do & How You’ll Make Your Mark

  • Design, build, and operate Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Azure, and/or OCI, covering compute, storage, networking, and IAM

  • Own Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, version-controlled in Git and aligned with team-wide best practices across environments

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Argo (CD/Workflows), automating build, test, and release for dozens of services

  • Drive release and deployment management practices, including progressive rollouts, rollback strategy, and change management that reduces risk without slowing teams down

  • Configure and harden web servers (Apache/Nginx), virtual hosts, and SSL/TLS across environments

  • Build out observability, metrics, tracing, and log aggregation (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki), with real alerting that catches issues before customers do

  • Use AI across the delivery lifecycle – scripting, infrastructure code, root-cause investigation, and runbooks – and set the guardrails the team works inside: how generated infrastructure code gets reviewed before it touches production, how provenance and licensing are checked, and what customer or secret data may enter a prompt

  • Own networking fundamentals in production: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls (iptables/nftables), and load balancing across cloud and on-prem environments

  • Carry on-call rotation, lead incident response, and turn postmortems into concrete reliability improvements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles
  • Deep, hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and cloud-native architecture patterns
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform) plus configuration management tooling (Ansible or Puppet)
  • Proven experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Argo, or comparable GitOps tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, firewall rules, and load balancing in cloud and on-prem environments
  • Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki) and building alerting that’s actually actionable
  • AI-augmented delivery: you use AI across the delivery lifecycle, not just script generation, and can say which models suit which problems and where you don’t use them. You review AI-generated infrastructure code and automation knowing its failure modes, and you have set the guardrails others work inside – review expectations for generated code, provenance and licensing checks, and clear boundaries for what customer or secret data enters a prompt and what a security or compliance review will ask for
  • Strong Bash and Python scripting ability, with public cloud experience across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI
  • Working knowledge of Linux security fundamentals: TLS, SSH hardening, patch management, and IAM in cloud environments
