Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with mission-critical electrical systems in data centers, industrial facilities, or similar environments.
  • Deep understanding of power systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, and distribution.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and lead technical response during high-pressure situations.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical safety practices, including lockout/tagout, arc flash, and PPE requirements.
  • Experience working with vendors and ensuring technical work meets defined standards.
  • Attention to detail in documentation, system validation, and safe execution of electrical work.
  • Acts as the electrical subject matter expert for the site, with clear ownership of technical execution.
  • Leads by example in safety, technical discipline, and adherence to standards.
  • Provides clear direction during electrical events and ensures safe, effective resolution.
  • Holds a high bar for quality and correctness in all electrical work.
  • Communicates effectively with Infrastructure leadership, Operations, and technical teams.
  • Electrical systems operate safely, reliably, and within defined capacity and redundancy limits.
  • Installations and maintenance are performed correctly, consistently, and without introducing risk.
  • Electrical issues are identified early, troubleshot effectively, and resolved with lasting fixes.
  • Vendor work is well-controlled, technically sound, and aligned with site standards.
  • Documentation is accurate, current, and supports safe operation and decision-making.
  • The site has strong confidence in electrical system performance and technical leadership.
  • Licensed Electrician or equivalent electrical certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience working with electrical systems in mission-critical, industrial, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and DC power systems.
  • Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AC and DC systems.
  • Familiarity with NEC, local codes, and safety standards (LOTO, arc flash, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience supporting critical operations, incident response, and maintenance execution.
