About the role:

Do you have good knowledge of telecommunications or aspire to become a technician? Are you versatile, resourceful and enjoy teamwork? This is a great opportunity to take on new challenges with our team in a unique, constantly evolving data center environment in Quebec.

Your daily tasks:

  • Assist customers with technical support.
  • Participate in technical coverage.
  • Install server cabinets and supervise installation of power outlets and cabling.
  • Actively participate in continuous training on data center installations (generators, UPS, RPP, PDU, CRAC, DCIM, biometric security).
  • Perform daily visual inspection of major data center equipment.
  • Monitor and evaluate alarms from monitoring systems (DCIM) as needed.
  • Update data center documentation (plans, instruction manuals, procedures).
  • Ensure customers follow appropriate rules and procedures.
  • Assist with daily and weekly maintenance of data center technical spaces (as needed).
  • Demonstrate willingness to improve knowledge.
  • Must be available to work 12h shifts including evenings, nights and weekends.
  • Must be occasionally available to change schedule for colleague replacement.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of data center and telecommunications environment (an asset).
  • Network cabling experience (an asset).
  • Ability to multitask in constantly evolving environment.
  • Customer satisfaction focus, with prior customer service experience.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge (an asset).
  • DEC/DEP/AEC or equivalent technical training and experience (an asset).
  • English required for frequent communication with employees, customers and suppliers outside Quebec.
