The role covers a broad software development scope, including automating infrastructure, adding user interface features, and collaborating with a small yet highly effective team of five engineers working remotely across various locations from US to UK time zones. Responsibilities include delivering features that provide immediate value to GoDaddy engineers globally, improving system resilience and quality, solving problems collaboratively, and building a superior end-to-end developer experience across internal platforms. The technology stack is modern and diverse, offering opportunities to learn new skills. Candidates should have over five years of software development experience, with strong proficiency in Node.js for both back-end and front-end development, AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a proactive, action-oriented approach are essential. Additional valuable experience includes developing GitHub Actions, automating cloud infrastructure and containers, and knowledge of Elastic observability stack, OpenTelemetry, Cypress, test-driven development, Markdown, TypeScript, CSS, NextJS, and ReactJS.
