As a Sales Engineer in the Cloud Division at InMotion Hosting, you will serve as the technical advisor collaborating closely with Account Executives to qualify sales opportunities and design cloud solutions tailored to customer needs. Responsibilities include leading technical discovery sessions to gather requirements and recommend optimal architectures, creating solution diagrams and proposals, delivering product demos and proof of concepts, and ensuring smooth solution delivery by working with teams across the company. You will architect solutions supporting OpenStack, AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments, and recommend best practices related to automation, Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, and container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes and Docker. Your role also involves integrating monitoring, observability, and security features into designs, conducting workshops and enablement sessions to maximize customer adoption, and influencing product roadmaps and sales strategies with customer insights. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Pre-Sales roles within cloud, hosting, or SaaS, with strong knowledge of cloud platforms and virtualization, container orchestration, automation, security, and compliance frameworks. Certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Cloud Architect, or OpenStack are advantageous. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential. The position is remote with a base salary starting at $60,000 plus bonus opportunities. Job requirements

  • 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Pre-Sales roles in cloud, hosting, or SaaS
  • Strong knowledge of OpenStack, AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Experience with virtualization, networking, VPNs, firewalls
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, GitHub Actions
  • Understanding of security and compliance including IAM, encryption, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant cloud certifications a plus
