The Financial Controller role at Kinsta involves leading global accounting operations across multiple international subsidiaries, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting processes. This role is the primary owner of the NetSuite environment, responsible for system optimization, configuration, workflows, automated consolidations, and third-party integrations to support evolving business needs. The Controller will oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, preparing financial statements and KPIs for management timely and accurately. They will maintain and improve accounting policies and documentation to ensure consistent, high-quality reporting. In addition, the Controller manages international multi-entity accounting, including intercompany transactions, eliminations, foreign currency translation, and revaluation processes. They also lead global cash management activities across banking platforms. The role includes designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust internal control environment to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy, identifying and remediating control gaps, improving process efficiency, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Controller acts as the primary contact for external auditors, managing annual audits and coordinating deliverables. They oversee international tax compliance, including VAT, GST, transfer pricing, and direct and indirect tax processes in partnership with advisors. Requirements include 8+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in SaaS leadership, proficiency in NetSuite (Stripe and Brex experience a plus), experience with accounting processes, internal controls, subscription billing, deferred revenue, and international subsidiaries management. CPA is strongly preferred, with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required and a master’s or MBA considered a plus. Preferred candidates have international expertise in EMEA, APAC, or LATAM markets, public accounting experience, and experience managing remote global teams.
