Hostinger has folded its customer support assistant, Kodee, and its separate growth agents for marketing, SEO and content into a single product, Hostinger Agent, announced on September 2 and rolling out since mid-August. The merge is the visible half of the news. The other half is a change in how its own support staff work. On the roughly one conversation in ten that the AI cannot confidently resolve on its own, a specialist now advises the assistant behind the scenes while the customer keeps talking to it, rather than taking the conversation over. By Hostinger’s count, since the change was introduced at the end of June, the share of those hard cases closed without a handover has risen from 41 percent to 72 percent.

Key facts, as reported by Hostinger

  • Volume: roughly 1.5 million support conversations a month, 91 percent of them closed with no human involvement at all.
  • Hard cases: around one in ten. Specialist-guided resolution up from 41 to 72 percent since late June, and live chat demand down from 10 to 4.5 percent of conversations.
  • Speed: a median of about three minutes with a specialist advising the AI, against more than 50 minutes over live chat.
  • Price: support and account management stay free. Business and growth tasks use a subscription with 1,000 credits a month, from $6.99 on a 12-month term.

One Assistant Where There Were Two

Until August, a Hostinger customer met two different AIs. Kodee answered support questions, and a set of tools the company called Hostinger Agents handled marketing, SEO and other growth tasks. They now run as a single agent, so that, in the company’s own example, a customer can arrive with a broken DNS record and leave with a launch campaign written in the same conversation. The assistant draws on what already sits inside the account: the website or store, the domain, business email, newsletters and earlier conversations, which is what lets it act without a setup step.

Behind the single front, specialized agents cover marketing, SEO, content and visuals, analysis, and recurring jobs such as scheduled reports. The assistant is also embedded in AI Builder, which brought Website Builder and Horizons together in August, so a customer can change a site and ask about its SEO in the same place. “The AI industry has spent the past two years giving people more assistants, copilots, and agents to choose from. We want customers to stop choosing between them,” said Emilis Strimaitis, Hostinger’s head of product innovation. “When the AI already knows what the customer is building and what they are trying to achieve, fixing the immediate problem is only part of the job.”

The Specialist Advises, the AI Answers

The operational change sits underneath. Around one conversation in ten goes beyond what the assistant can resolve with confidence. Hostinger’s old answer was a transfer to a human. The new one keeps the AI in the conversation and puts a customer success specialist behind it to add context and validate the reply while the customer sees a single, continuous exchange. The company calls these people AI CX Engineers. It describes their job as shifting from taking over difficult conversations to helping the AI solve them, so that, in its words, the next thousand people with the same problem get the right answer immediately. Anyone who would rather talk to a person can still ask for one, on any plan and in every market.

The figures the company gives for the model since the end of June are these. Specialist-guided resolution of hard cases rose from 41 percent to 72 percent. Demand for live chat fell from 10 percent of conversations to 4.5 percent. The median time to a solution with a specialist advising the AI is about three minutes, against more than 50 minutes over live chat. All three figures come from Hostinger. A Hostinger representative told us how the company counts. A conversation is resolved when it does not escalate to a live agent and closes without being reopened, and the 91 percent covers only those completed with no human involvement at all. Cases where an AI CX Engineer advises the assistant are tracked separately, so the two numbers do not overlap.

Free for Support, a Subscription for the Rest

Pricing splits along the old product line. Support and account management remain available at no extra charge. Business and growth tasks use a subscription with 1,000 credits a month, priced by billing term. A 12-month term runs $6.99 a month, shown as 30 percent off a $9.99 list price, against $7.99 on three months and $9.99 month to month. The page lists a renewal price of $8.99 a month, with taxes excluded. Hostinger Agent began replacing Kodee across customer touchpoints in mid-August, and a Hostinger representative told us the rollout is still running, though close to complete. About 80 percent of customer assistance happens in hPanel, the control panel, which makes it the main touchpoint, and the assistant is also being rolled out across AI Builder, Reach, VPS, WordPress, Webmail and landing pages. Because Kodee was integrated so widely across the platform, the transition is being finished gradually.

A Year of Folding Products Together

The launch continues a pattern. In August, Website Builder and Horizons became AI Builder. Hostinger Ecommerce, for selling through a site, social channels and shareable links, arrived in July, and Reach, the email marketing product, last year. Hostinger Agent adds the conversational layer connecting support and growth tasks across that stack. The company, founded in Lithuania in 2004, puts its customer base at more than five million across more than 150 countries, and develops core products including hPanel and AI Builder in-house.

For other hosting providers, the number to look at is not the five million but the one in ten. A support model in which a specialist’s work product is a better AI answer rather than a closed ticket is not unique to a provider of Hostinger’s size, and the before-and-after figures above give other providers a useful reference point, while definitions may vary between providers. Hostinger’s scale, though, likely changes both the economics of that loop and the speed at which it learns. Hostinger Agent now extends beyond support into marketing and SEO work, where the quality of its recommendations can affect traffic, acquisition spend or revenue as well as support efficiency. That is where the next set of numbers will be worth watching.

About the Data

Figures and quotations come from Hostinger’s announcement post of September 2, 2026 and the press release the company sent us the same week. The definition of a resolved conversation, the separate tracking of specialist-advised cases and the state of the rollout come from written answers provided by a Hostinger representative. Prices were checked on the product page on September 9 and exclude tax. The support metrics are Hostinger’s own and cover the period since the end of June 2026
